Johnathon Schaech

Johnathon Schaech is an American actor. He was born in Edgewood, Maryland on September 10, 1969, to a devoutly Roman Catholic family. He has a career in movies and TV beginning in 1993. He is also sometimes known as Jonathon Schaech.

His father is a retired law-enforcement officer, and his wife is actress Christina Applegate, whom he married in 2001 in a mixed-faith ceremony in California.

He was originally offered the role of Jesus in Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, but turned it down to act in another religious movie (about Judas), and the role of Jesus went to Catholic actor Jim Caviezel.
