John Steinbeck IV
Emmy Award Journalist, Author - John Ernst Steinbeck IV (June 12 1946 - February 7 1991), was the second child of Nobel author John Ernst Steinbeck III and Gwyndolyn Conger. John was a journalist who received an Emmy Award 1967-1968 for his reporting during the Vietnam War. In his autobiography, The Other Side of Eden: Life With John Steinbeck, John wrote about his famous father. He died in San Diego, California on February 7 1991 after complications resulting from back surgery at the age of 44.
