John Ormonde
John Ormonde was a senior Irish politician. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 1948 as a Fianna Fáil TD. In 1957 he joined the Cabinet of Eamon de Valera as Minister for Posts & Telegraphs. He served in government until 1959 and retired from the Dáil in 1965 when he failed to retain his seat in the general election.
