John Miles (musician)


 

John Miles is a British Musician best known for his 1977 top 3 hit Music.

Miles was born April 23 1949 in Jarrow, a town in the North East of England. Member of groups "The Influence" and "The John Miles Set," before starting his solo career in 1971. During the 1970's he issued 18 singles and four albums, one of which was 1978's "Zaragon".

In the 1980's he continued to record and tour. In 1983 , a new radio station, in the south of England named Radio Mercury used parts from Miles hit song Music for their link jingles. The actual song itself received extensive airplay on the station too, leading one to speculate this was perhaps part of a deal for the usage in their jingles.
