John Lasseter


 

John A. Lasseter (born January 12, 1957) is a founding member of Pixar, where he currently serves as Executive Vice President, Creative. He has received two Academy Awards for Best Animated Short Film (Tin Toy) and Special Achievement Award (Toy Story). http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005124/awards He oversees all of Pixar?s films and associated projects as an executive producer.

Before Pixar, Lasseter worked as a traditional animator at Walt Disney Pictures and as a computer animator at the Lucasfilm Computer Graphics Group. Lasseter has directed the popular Pixar films Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, and the upcoming Cars. He was the executive producer of Pixar's Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo and The Incredibles, and the English-language versions of Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle.
