John Compton
Sir John George Melvin Compton, KBE PC (b. 1926), served as Prime Minister of Saint Lucia during two terms(1964 to 1979 and 1982 to 1996). He led the conservative United Workers' Party (UWP) from 1964 until 1996. In 2005, the UWP elected Sir John as its leader again.
