Joe Witte
Joe Witte (born 1943) is a weekend weatherman for the broadcast television station WJLA in Washington, D.C., where he has been since 2003. Witte has worked for WCBS-TV, WABC-TV, and WNBC-TV in New York City, along with other television station in other television markets. Witte has also made appearances as a weatherman for CNBC, and MSNBC. Witte also served as the weatherman for the former NBC News program NBC News at Sunrise from 1983 to 1999, and Witte also served as the weatherman for Sunday Today from 1992 to 1999. Witte has also filled in for John Coleman on ABC's Good Morning America, and for Willard Scott, and Al Roker on NBC's Today Show. Witte has also been seen on NBC Nightly News, Dateline NBC, NBC Asia, and NBC Europe as a weather expert. Witte was on the air non-stop for Hurricane Gloria in 1985, and also for the Blizzard of '96 in 1996 for over 8 hours each for both events.
