Joe Penner
Joe Penner (11 November, 1904 - 10 January, 1941) was a 1930s-era radio and film comic and vaudevillian. Penner was born Josef Pinter in Nagechkereck, Hungary. He immigrated to New York City in the United States as a child and was launched on his successful radio career by Rudy Vallee. Penner was a zany comic noted for his catchphrase "Wanna buy a duck?" and his low hyuck-hyuck laugh. Joe Penner died of heart failure in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1941 while still at the height of his fame.

Joe Penner was popularly caricatured by Tex Avery and Friz Freleng in the musical cartoon "My Green Fedora" and several pictures starring the bumbling stooge Egghead.
