Joe Delaney (1958-1983) was an american football player in the National Football League.

Joe Delaney was born on October 30, 1958 in Henderson, Texas. He was drafted #2 in 1981 by the Kansas City Chiefs after a career at Northwestern State University. He was an All-American in football and track while in college. He was the first Northwestern player to rush for more than career 3000 yards.
