She attended a Catholic school, and she suddenly began to grow. She went from being the shortest in class to 5?8?, leaving her taller, but she has grown taller since then and stands today as 5?10?. But midway through her junior year, she decided to leave her school to start on Another World, the soap opera. She played Marguerite ?Maggie? Cory. She then got a role on Nash Bridges, as Don Johnson?s daughter, where she played Cassidy. She and her mother moved to Hollywood, so Jodi completed her schooling by mail.

Jodi got her big screen debut in 1998 in the Hollywood sequel . Jodi was well in to stardom with such films as , Whatever It Takes and Teacher?s pet, but she began to hit the spotlight when she portrayed her role as Taylor Vaughan in the teen flick, She?s All That (1999). It was a comedy where Jodi played Taylor Vaughan, the most popular (and conceited) girl in school, she starred in it alongside Freddie Prinze Jr and Rachael Leigh Cook. When asked if it was hard to play such a character, Jodi replied, ?Everybody knew a Taylor Vaughan in high school. Working in show business, you meet girls like that everyday.?

Jodi kept on filming both movies and Nash Bridges until the series ended in 2001. Her last film was Out For Blood where she played a vampire named Layla Simmons, but she is shooting a movie right now called Venice Underground and a new series called Adopted. But the series haven?t been picked up yet, but Jodi has high hopes for that. She played in the sequel to Rose McGowan?s little known film Dearly Devoted. Her character in the sequel was named Debbie Strong, however Rose played Debbie Strand, which had fans confused, but still growing.

Since then, Jodi has been kicking back at home and auditioning for roles. Fans have often left messages on internet forums asking why the young, talented, respectively cheap and available actress hasn?t found work often as she used to. She used to date former Nash Bridges co-star Jamie Gomez 1998. Other than that, no reason can be given. Her career was about to take off, but that was before she just vanished. She makes the odd appearance at movie premieres and parties from time to time, however.
