Jim Hall (race car driver)
Jim Hall was a Formula One driver from the United States. He participated in 10 grands prix, debuting on October 8, 1961. He scored a total of 3 championship points.

His place in motorsport history came as the owner and driving force of Chaparral Cars of Midland Texas.

During the 1960's in the United States Road Racing Championship and later in the Can Am, his Chaparral cars were the most innovative cars in racing. He was a very early adopter of aerodynamics applied to race cars and was leading proponent of that technology for an entire decade.

After a sabbatical in the early 70's, he came back to prominance in the Championship Auto Racing Team series including a win at the Indianapolis 500 with the first of the ground effect cars to be raced at the Indy 500.
