He also played for the 1960 U.S. Olympic gold medal team in Rome. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He was also nicknamed "Mr. Clutch," due to his skill and ability to make a shot in a clutch situation. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
