Jeremy Clarkson
Jeremy Charles Robert Clarkson (born April 11, 1960 in Doncaster) is a humorous British motoring journalist and television presenter. Clarkson is 6' 4"' tall. Some consider him to be 'ebulliently robust' in his manner, and others consider him to be unfashionable, sexist and the epitome of "yobbish" driving. He is forthright in his opinions in the press and on television, to the point where some viewers consider him entertaining and others irritating. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

As Clarkson himself said, "This was a job which didn't suit - because I had to wear one." Instead, he took a job on the Rotherham Advertiser, covering such stories as a woman who was convinced that maggots were burrowing into her children's heads whilst they slept. In 1984, however, he had a brainwave and formed the Motoring Press Agency with business partner Jonathan Gill, which aimed to supply road tests to local newspapers. During the 1980s he wrote for specialist car magazines such as Performance Car.
