Jay Thomas
Jay Thomas is an American actor and disc jockey, who was born Jon (or John) Thomas on July 12, 1948, in Kermit, Texas, but raised in New Orleans, where he attended Jesuit High School, New Orleans. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He is perhaps best known for his recurring role on the NBC sitcom Cheers, on which he played Eddie LeBec, the second husband of Carla Tortelli (Rhea Perlman), from 1987 until 1989, when his character was killed off. Eddie was a goalie for the Boston Bruins. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He later starred in the 1992-1995 sitcom Love & War (with Annie Potts)and in the short-lived 1996 Ted Danson-Mary Steenburgen sitcom Ink. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Jay currently works as a radio DJ in New York City, but resides in Connecticut with his wife, Sally and their 3 children. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
