Jason Beam

Jason Beam (born March 18, 1973 in Great Falls, Montana, USA) is one of today's most popular artisans working in the Dark Art genre and has been working in the field of digital art since 1995. His illustrative story-telling of classic macabre tales have earned him popularity the world over, and his work stands among some of the most unique artists of digital contemporary art. His frenetic attention to detail and creepy combination of sensual imagery and evocative settings give his work a graceful elegance bordering on the cryptically surreal.

Biography

Born and raised in Great Falls, Montana, he moved to Colorado in 1993 to begin his formal education at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design where he studied illustration, including computer-aided and more traditional techniques. He then continued on to attend Platt College where he delved into electronic pre-press and graphic design programs. Currently, Jason Beam lives and works in Montana, and has spent time mentoring high school students and instructing college level classes in Advanced and Creative Digital Art Techniques.
