Janez Drnovšek

Janez Drnov?ek (, (May 17, 1950 – February 23, 2008) was a Slovenian liberal politician, President of Yugoslavia (1989?1990), Prime Minister of Slovenia (1992?2002) and President of Slovenia (2002?2007). He was born in Celje, then part of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, today in Slovenia. He died on February 23, 2008 in Zaplana.

Alongside his work with TV Ljubljana which dominated much of his career, he also directed features films such as Boj na po?iralniku in 1982 and even made an appearance as an actor in the 1980 film Prestop (Transgression:International: English title) playing the character of Vodja ?uvajev.
