Jamestown is a city located in Fentress County, Tennessee. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 1,839. It is the county seat of Fentress County{{GR|6}}.

Interesting Facts

Sgt. Alvin C. York was born, raised and died in fentress county. He wasn't ever really in Jamestown but in Pall Mall (pal mal).

Jamestown has Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute, a high school built by Alvin C. York himself. It is the only state funded school in Fentress County.
