James Whale (radio)

Michael Whale (born 13 May 1951) better known as James Whale is a British radio and television broadcaster. He has presented late night phone in programmes on UK radio for several decades, starting on Metro Radio in Newcastle and later moving to Radio Aire in Leeds. At one time his radio programme was televised simultaneously. He has hosted a regular phone-in show on talkSPORT from Monday to Thursday since 1995. He is short-tempered at times and cuts off many callers whom he finds annoying. Whale is dyslexic and makes no secret of this.

In 2000, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. He survived, but claims it has affected his outlook on life.
