James Posey

James Posey (born January 13 1977 in Cleveland, Ohio) is a professional basketball player, currently playing guard for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association.

Posey was selected out of Xavier University by the Denver Nuggets with the 18th pick of the 1999 NBA Draft. He played a little over three seasons with the team before being sent to the Houston Rockets in a three-team deal also involving the Philadelphia 76ers on December 18 2002.

After finishing the season with the Rockets, he signed with the Grizzlies as a free agent in the 2003 offseason.
