James Lipton
James Lipton (born September 19, 1926, Detroit, Michigan) is dean emeritus of the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University in New York City. He also is the executive producer, writer and host of the Bravo cable television series, Inside the Actors Studio, now held at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University's downtown campus, beginning with season twelve. He started out his career as writer for the soap operas Another World and The Edge of Night, as well as acting for ten years on Guiding Light.
