James Daly
James Daly (born October 23, 1918; died July 3, 1978) was an American actor.

He is best known in film for his portrayal of Doctor Honorious in the original Planet of the Apes, and on television as the lead in the drama Medical Center.

Daly was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, and was the father of actress Tyne Daly and actor Timothy Daly. From 1947 to 1966, he also guest starred in several television series, among them ' ("Requiem for Methuselah"), Mission Impossible, The Twilight Zone ("A Stop at Willoughby"), Gunsmoke, The Virginian, and Twelve O'Clock High.
