Jake Epstein is first known for the side-kick role, Cameron in the adaptation of the Dan Greenburg's highly popular supernatural children's novel "Zack Files" (Canada). His acting career began in the Royal Alex Theatre of Ontario, Canada. He then made the big leap forward in the spotlight of the next generation of Degrassi. His role as Craig Manning was his claim to fame to many high-school students. Though Degrassi is quite popular in the show's home town of Toronto, there is an extremely large fan base in the United States (shown on The-N).

Jake Epstein attended Earl Haig Secondary School in Toronto. He directed his school play.

He used to sing lead vocals and play guitar in his band "Mind The Gap" which is now disbanded. On Degrassi, however, he still sings lead vocals and plays guitar for his on-screen band called Downtown Sasquatch.
