Jacob Thompson
Jacob Thompson (May 15, 1810–March 24, 1885) was a U.S. politician. He served as a U.S. Congressman from Mississippi, and then as U.S. Secretary of the Interior from 1857-61. During the American Civil War he fought on the side of the Confederacy.
