Jack Tatum
Jack Tatum (born November 18, 1948) is a retired American football player. His position was defensive back.
After football
Tatum has written three books - They Call Me Assassin (1980), They Still Call Me Assassin (1989) and Final Confessions of NFL Assassin (1996, essentially a reprint of the first two books). A diabetic, Tatum had to have his left leg amputated below the knee in April 2003. He now walks with a prosthesis. To raise awareness of the condition, Tatum established the Jack Tatum Fund For Youthful Diabetes. In 2005 he was enshrined into the College Football Hall of Fame.
