Jack Roush
Jack Roush is the founder and owner of Roush Racing, a NASCAR team headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Roush Industries, a freelance engineering firm and Roush Performance, an automotive aftermarket development company headquartered in Livonia, Michigan. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on April 19, 1942 and grew up in Manchester, Ohio. He earned a Mathematics degree from Berea College and a masters in Scientific Mathematics from Eastern Michigan University. He began running race teams in 1970 with an effort in NHRA and IHRA Drag racing, offering for sale the parts that he developped for his own team. in 1982, He partnered with a German firm to develop road racing vehicles for Ford. This led to an incredibly successful run in the Trans-Am series and IMSA in the 80's and early 90's. In 1988, Roush moved south and founded a NASCAR Winston Cup team with driver Mark Martin which has since become one of NASCAR's premiere programs winning two Cup series championships.

Roush Racing currently fields five cars in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (driven by Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards), and two trucks in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (driven by Todd Kluever and Ricky Craven).
