Jack Gordon

Jack Gordon (died April 19, 2005) was the former manager and husband of singer La Toya Jackson. He managed LaToya alongside her father Joseph Jackson in the early 1980's until he completely took over management in the late 1980's. The two were married in 1989 in Las Vegas on a trip which LaToya now states was unplanned and against her wishes. From this point on she didn't return to her family for several years and lost all contact with them during her series of allegations andaccusations. Gordon hired bodyguards to watch Jackson constantly and never allow her family anywhere near. Joseph Jackson described in his German released book Die Jacksons that he believed Gordon brainwashed LaToya and made her fearful of her own family. LaToya became totally managed by her controlling husband who didn't allow her to leave the house or have any friends - according to Jackson. She blames all of her bad career moves and often embarrasing past on Gordon including her 1990 book La Toya - Growing Up In The Jackson Family - which exposed many awful so-called Jackson truths and even alleagtions that her father raped her as a teenager. In a 2004 interview with 20/20 she blames all of her infamous actions on Gordon stating he even threatened to have her, Michael and Janet killed. Things got even more starnge when the pair moved to Tel Aviv where LaToya accused Michael in 1993 of carrying out leud acts against children - agreeing with authorities at the time searching her brother. Her infamous Playboy shoots, psychic hotline, soft pornography videos, outrageous looks and surgery are all blamed on Gordon. Jackson claims she was forced and threatened under physical abuse. Gordon was arrested in 1993 for spousal abuse when he savagely attacked Jackson with a chair. She was found in a Manhatten hotel room in a puddle of blood nearing death when he claimed he was defending himself from his violent wife.

Finally in 1997, Jackson claims she was about to appear in a hardcore pornography video under Gordon's influence when she finally couldn't take anymore. Allegedly Gordon was out when Jackson phoned brother Randy Jackson to come and pick her up. Days later in Las Vegas Jackson filed for divorce and remained living there.

When Jackson was out of the spotlight Gordon was also except when he often made headlines for outrageous accusations and stories about the Jackson family. Several reports to the New York Post had Gordon explain acts by Michael Jackson such as monkey sacrifice rituals, abuse to Bubbles the chimpanzee and he even accused Jackson of forcing Lisa-Marie Presley to marry him. In October of 2002 Gordon did several interviews advertising his tell-all book of the Jackson's titled The Jackson Family: The True Story Of The Most Powerful Family In The Music Industry. His allegations were named "pure fantasy" by the Jackson family - including a re-united LaToya. As LaToya emerged in 2003 making accusations of Gordon's actions he threatened to sue but never did so.

Jack Gordon had little other entertainment clients apart from LaToya Jackson. He had brief work before he met Joseph Jackson and for a short time he managed porn star John Wayne Bobbitt - the gentlemen whose penis was chopped off by his girlfriend but later re-attached. Before Gordon became La Toya's co-manager with her father in the late 80s (and eventually manager) it was widely known he had a dodgy past with trouble with the law. Joseph Jackson was always fearful of him as he believed he was probably armed.

Jack Gordon died at the age of 56 in a Las Vegas hospital after battling cancer for several months. La Toya reportedly had a security expert eyewitness his burial as she was so fearful of his lies and death threats.
