J.D. Wilkes
Joshua (J.D.) Wilkes (born in 1971), a native of Paducah, Kentucky is a visual artist and musician. Wilkes is most well known as the founder and only current original member of "Southern Gothic" rock band Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in the late 1990s. His wild and unpredictable on-stage antics, in which he has been known to do everything from ripping out his own body hair, backflips, grabbing female and male audience members and kissing them, to stopping an electric fan blade with his tongue, have become almost "legendary".
