Isabella, Duchess of Lorraine

Isabella (1400 – February 28 1453) was Duchess of Lorraine from 1431 to her death. She inherited the duchy from her father, Duke Charles I, and ruled with her husband, Duke René of Anjou, also Duke of Bar and King of Naples. She led an army to rescue her husband from the Duke of Burgundy.

• plus seven others who died in childhood
