Irena Salina

Irena Salina (born 8 July 1968) was born in France and acted in French theatre before moving to New York City to study at the Actors Studio. Her first short film, See You on Monday, screened at the Hamptons International Film Festival. She is the niece of actor Philippe Noiret.

Irena Sedlecká (born September 7, 1928 in Plze?, Czechoslovakia, nowadays Czech Republic) is a Czech sculptor, a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, After training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, she was awarded the Lenin Prize for sculpture before fleeing the communist regime in 1967, she then went to Chile where a sympathetic socialist government was in power, lead by Salvadore Allende. When Allene was ousted by a an American backed coup in 1973, she then went to Columbia, finaly coming to Britain. Her first commission in Britain, was from Kathleen Hunt of Walthamstow, it was a 70cm resin statue, of the Virgin Mary and Jesus this was in 1975. She has sculpted many monumental and bust Portraits including; Freddie Mercury of Queen, now in Montreux, Switzerland; Beau Brummell in Piccadilly, London and many in private collections. Married several times, lastly to Franta Belsky, sculptor, who died 2000.

Irena Sendler

Irena Sendler (née Krzy?anowska, in Poland commonly referred to as Irena Sendlerowa, 15 February 1910 ? 12 May 2008) was a Polish Catholic social worker who served in the Polish Underground and the ?egota resistance organization in German-occupied Warsaw during World War II. Assisted by some two dozen other ?egota members, Sendler saved 2,500 Jewish children by smuggling them out of the Warsaw Ghetto, providing them with false documents, and sheltering them in individual and group children's homes outside the Ghetto. .

Irena Sibley

Irena Sibley (1944-2009) is an artist and children's book writer and illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia. Her first book Rainbow was published in 1980 as both a children's book and hand-made Artist's Book, and her children's books have included the best-selling The Bilbies' First Easter, When the Sun Took the Colours Away (1991), Zara's Zoo, (2001), and Mary's Magic (forthcoming). Sibley's art works are held in the collections of the State Library of Victoria and the National Library of Australia, as well as many private collections. She is married to artist Andrew Sibley.
