International Posse

International Posse or In/P is one of Florida's largest and most violent gangs.

Their colors are blue and white. They use mostly Folk Nation signs http://www.dc.state.fl.us/pub/gangs/sets5.html but do have their own hand sign. It is displayed by connecting the middle and ring fingers with the thumb and putting up the index and pinky fingers. They have chapters in California, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, New York, Orlando, Puerto Rico, Texas, West Palm Beach, and Miami.

The gang began in the late 80's early 90's as a breakdancing crew in Miami. It soon began to evolve as a gang because of their growing friendship with the Latin Kings http://www.dc.state.fl.us/pub/gangs/sets.html street gang who had migrated to Miami from Chicago, but soon this relationship dissolved because of the Latin Kings' http://www.dc.state.fl.us/pub/gangs/chicago3.html growing resentment towards the In/p's because of their relations with the Latin Queens which is the female version of Latin Kings.

The In/p's then began to form a relationship with the Folk Nation http://www.dc.state.fl.us/pub/gangs/chicago4.html and soon became Folk because of their shared problems with Latin Kings.

Most In/P sets today are part of the Folk Nation http://www.dc.state.fl.us/pub/gangs/sets5.html but some are 'outlaw' which means they have no affiliation. They display this by throwing the folk gang sign up with one hand and down with the other.Their main rival is TNS (Take no showers).
