Indoor soccer is a somewhat common (though not extremely popular) sport in the United States, with both amateur and professional leagues dedicated to it. It is also played outside of the US, however most indoor play outside of North America involves the FIFA-sanctioned game of futsal. Recently indoor soccer has become a popular sport in Mexico, being included as part of the Universiada (University National Games) and the CONADEIP (Private School Tournament), which match University school teams from all over Mexico. In Mexico, it is quite common that indoor soccer fields are actually built outdoors so the sport is called Fútbol Rápido ("Fast Soccer") instead.
