Indo-Pacific languages

The Indo-Pacific super-family, proposed by Joseph Greenberg in 1971, groups together the Papuan languages (several language families spoken in Papua New Guinea and nearby regions which are not Austronesian) together with the native languages of Tasmania and the Andaman Islands. Australian Aboriginal languages are not included.
