Indeterminate music
Indeterminate music was a form of music pioneered by the late John Cage. It involves music in which some or all of the compositional and performance parameters are left to chance.

The chance in the music may, for example, consist of the ambient sounds at a venue, the number of performers, the length of the piece and so on.
