The Independent State of Croatia was ruled by the Croatian right extremist group called the Usta?e, and it was a puppet state of the Axis powers. Due to the fascist policies of the state, which harassed and mass murdered the minorities (Serbs, Jews, Gypsies and Communist Croats), the population organized a large-scale rebellion.
