In Living Color

In Living Color was an American sketch comedy television series which ran on the Fox Television Network from 1989 to 1994. Executive producer Keenen Ivory Wayans created, wrote, and starred in the program.

Memorable one-time or infrequent sketches

• Self-serve gas stations - As part of Black History Month, a dignified presenter claims that African Americans invented self-serve gas stations. As proof, he introduces a video clip where an elderly, helpless Caucasian-American politely and meekly asks for help pumping his gas, but the fat, lazy African-American attendant rudely tells him to "pump it your own damned self". And thus, self-serve gas stations were born.
• Star Trek - Jim Carrey plays Captain Kirk with grossly exaggerated mannerisms, with David Allan Grier playing Mr. Spock.
• Hawaii Five-O - a hilarious skit in which Jim Carrey played McGarrett.
