Ill Nino are sometimes compared to Soulfly and many have felt they ripped them off. They frequently use classical guitar melodies and Brazilian tribal percussion on top of a standard drum kit. The main writer of the band is their vocalist Cristian Machado. They were originally called El Niņo but decided Ill Niņo was a better name.
