Ibrahim Lodi (died April 21, 1526) was the last ruler of the Delhi Sultanate. He was an Afghan (specifically of the Ghilzai tribe of Pashtuns) who presided over much of India from 1517-1526, when he was vanquished by the Turkic Mughals, who would establish a new dynasty that would last some three centuries.
