I Turn to You

"I Turn to You" is the third single from Christina Aguilera's debut album, Christina Aguilera. Released in 2000, the single peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 4 weeks, becoming Aguilera's 3rd Top 10 hit. The single also peaked at #19 in the UK and #35 in Australia. The single is most known for its powerful vocal performance; previously critics had begun to doubt Aguilera's vocal strength after releasing a slew of uptempo singles which shifted focus from her vocals to the production of the song; with the release of "I Turn to You", she proved that her vocal strength was no trick as the song's simplistic structure allowed her to show off her vocal chops.
