I Am Kloot (album)
I Am Kloot's self titled second and highest charting album to date was something eagerly anticipated. Coming on the tail of 2 singles it offered a new direction that pointed to a sonically deeper sound compared to their more relaxed sounding debut. It didn't fail to deliver with it's heavy production and use of reverb the album had an atmosphere to it indeed. In fact it produced 4 singles and 1 "download only" single and could easily have had 3 more singles such was the strength of the songs. The "download only" single (Proof) had a music video created for it featuring British actor Christopher Eccleston in a powerful role, simply a close up shot of his face with eyes closed and as the singing began his eyes opened, during the course of the song he slowly began smiling and as the song was ending tears began to fall from his eyes... a very powerful video that sadly never got to be aired. The album also had possibly the simplest and boldest packaging possible, only 2 bold colours were used leaving the album sleeve black and white totally (in the UK the cd disc was also entirely black), the front cover simply saying I AM KLOOT.
