Human rights in post-Saddam Hussein Iraq
The Bush administration and many parties have expressed concern about the state of human rights in Iraq after the 2003 occupation of Iraq. Concerns have been expressed about conduct by both the U.S.-led occupying coalition forces and the insurgents. The U.S. is investigating several allegations of violations of international and internal standards of conduct in isolated incidents by its own forces and contractors.
