Hugh Scott
Hugh Doggett Scott, Jr. (November 11, 1900 – July 21, 1994) was an American politician from Pennsylvania who served in both the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate, and who also served as Chairman of the Republican National Committee. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

He graduated from Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, Va., in 1919 and the law department of the University of Virginia at Charlottesville in 1922; was admitted to the bar in 1922 and commenced practice in Philadelphia, Pa.
