Howard McNear
Howard McNear (January 27, 1905 – January 3, 1969) was an American film, television and radio character actor. He was born in Los Angeles, California and died in the San Fernando Valley, from the effects of a stroke.

He was best known for playing Floyd Lawson on The Andy Griffith Show; he also portrayed Charles "Doc" Adams on CBS Radio's Gunsmoke (1952-1961) as well as International Secret Police ace operator Clint Barlow in the 1938-1940 radio serial "Speed Gibson of the International Secret Police".
