Hooper (movie)

Hooper is a 1978 comedy film about stuntmen, directed by Hal Needham, produced by Hank Moonjean. It stars Burt Reynolds as Sonny Hooper, Sally Field as Gwen Doyle, and Jan-Michael Vincent as Ski Chinski.

Hooper with his girlfriend Gwen lives a wild life as Hollywood's best stunt actor. He meets Ski Chinski, who soon rises in the business to become his rival. It becomes apparent in Hooper's age, that he may have to settle down and let his crazy life go. Hollywood's most incredible stunts, not to mention staged barfights and car chases with his friends on the side, have taken their toll on his health. Unfortunately, he has never said no to a stunt, and sure enough, when a director seeks out Hooper and Ski, and offers them the biggest and most dangerous stunt gig ever, they cannot refuse.
