Homegrown is slang for marijuana that is grown at a persons' residence. In the 1960s and 1970s the term was slightly derogatory in that most homegrown was of rather low quality. In recent times, especially with the advent of hydroponic cultivation, homegrown is now considered to be of exceptionally high quality. Typically homegrown is sinsemilla (Spanish for "without seeds").
