History of Pakistan
The History of Pakistan for times preceding 1947 overlaps with that of the history of the Indian subcontinent, Afghanistan, and Iran. Pakistan was a state created out of the territory of British colonial India in 1947. In 1971, East Pakistan became independent as Bangladesh.
