A cabinet is to be chosen from members of the different political parties, and various decisions are to be made about internal policy as well as relations with other nations. The foremost challenge is to survive the three-year term without being overthrown. At the end of the game the "verdict of history" is given as a quote from a future edition of the Encyclopedia PaxAmericana.
