Henry Winkler

Henry Franklin Winkler (born October 30, 1945) is an actor, director and producer who is most famous for his role as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli on the popular sitcom Happy Days (1974 - 1984). Winkler gained national fame for his auto mechanic-greaser role as "The Fonz"; starting out as a minor character at the show's beginning but having top billing by the time the show ended. He currently stars in the CBS sitcom Out of Practice.

• He still is recognized for playing The Fonz by fans.
• He realized that he was dyslexic while making a film about dyslexia.
• He stated on ABC's "The View" that he turned down the lead in the 1978 blockbuster film version of GREASE, where he would have starred with his 2000s "Out of Practice" co-star Stockard Channing.
• His "Fonz" character was evoked as a talisman for calm under stress in the 1990s film Pulp Fiction, with the repeated phrase "Cool like Fonzie!"
