Henry Scott, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch
The Most Noble Henry Scott, 3rd Duke of Buccleuch and 5th Duke of Queensberry (1746 - 1812), was a Scottish nobleman.

Son of Francis Scott, Earl of Dalkeith, he succeeded his grandfather as Duke of Buccleuch in 1751. Educated at Eton College, from 1763 to 1766 he travelled abroad with Adam Smith as his tutor.

He became the first President of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1783. He was appointed a Knight of the Thistle in 1767 and a Knight of the Garter in 1794 (resigning as Knight of the Thistle). He succeeded as 5th Duke of Queensberry in 1810. He was a friend of Sir Walter Scott.
