Help Wanted

:Help Wanted is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season 1, usually referred to as Spongebob's pilot episode.

When SpongeBob sees the 'help wanted' sign on the Krusty Krab window, he decides to try and get the job. He works out and heads towards the Krusty Krab. However, he gives up before he gets there, thinking he's not good enough. Patrick persuades him to go for it, and SpongeBob does. Squidward and Mr. Krabs do not want SpongeBob working with them, so he tells him that he can join the 'Krusty Krew' if he passes a test. He is required to get a 'Hydrodynamic spatula with port and starboard attachments and a turbo-drive', which seems impossible. Later, a large crowd of angry anchovies come in, demanding Krabby Patties. But because no-one is able to make Krabby Patties at the time, they protest, and Squidward and Mr. Krabs are forced to climb up the 'mast'. They're lives are in danger, until SpongeBob arrives, flying with his 'hydrodynamic spatula with port and starboard attachments and a turbo-drive'. Mr. Krabs is flabbergasted at the fact that SpongeBob actually passed the almost-impossible test, and SpongeBob satisfies the anchovies and they leave. In the end, SpongeBob finally gets his job.

Trivia: This episode features the song "Livin' the Sunlight, Lovin' the Moonlight" as recorded by deceased 1960s cult musician, Tiny Tim.

Initially, This episode was not included on the Spongebob Season 1 DVD Set, presumably because of Music Rights issues involving the aformentioned song. However, The Episode has since been made available on the The DVD Release of the Third Season as a bonus feature

Spongebob's and Patrick's voices are a little different in this episode. Patrick's is deeper and spongebob's is a little lower.
