Heinrich Göbel
Heinrich Göbel, or later: Henry Goebel (April 20, 1818 - December 4, 1893), born in Germany, was a watchmaker and inventor, an early pioneer who did much work on developing the light bulb. In 1844, he married Sophie Lübke. At the age of 31, he emigrated to New York City, USA, where he lived until his death.
